In a scathing attack on South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, EFF leader Julius Malema has accused him of loving white people more than black people. Malema formed the EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) after he was expelled from Ramaphosa's ruling African National Congress. The EFF has become South Africa's third largest part since first contesting elections in 2014.

Malema was addressing supporters outside the offices of Remgro, a company controlled by Johann Rupert, South Africa's wealthiest businessman.

There is a perception amongst the South African public that Ramaphosa is pro-business and favoured by wealthy white owned businesses headquartered in Stellenbosch. This group is often referred to as White Monopoly Capital
