Two huge gas ships both of which travelled all the way from Texas, USA to supply the UK with gas were seen berthed at the National Grid's Isle of Grain LNG facility this afternoon (April 6) from Queenborough, Kent.

With Russian ships banned from UK ports, due to the Ukraine war, the UK (and Europe) has needed to source more gas from further afield.

The two ships captured in this footage are Energy Endeavour (Black ship) from Sabine Pass, Texas, US alongside 'BW Pavilion Vanda' (green ship) from Ingleside, Texas, US.

The United States is the world's top natural gas producer.

In March, US President Joe Biden promised the US would deliver at least 15 billion cubic meters more LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) to Europe this year than before.
