The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency arrested two men suspected of trafficking methamphetamine.

Footage from April 5 shows plainclothes officers detaining a 46-year-old man with the initials RP.

Officers searched the suspect and found 10 packages of methamphetamine stored in LED lights.

They also arrested a 23-year-old man with the initials RF.

The head of the Payakumbuh National Narcotics Agency, M. Febrian Jufril, said: "Starting from public information, we made covert purchases under surveillance or under cover buys to a man with the initials RP, then developed and arrested RF, a meth dealer."

The pair are suspected of breaking the Drug Abuse Act which carries the death penalty.

In footage filmed at two different locations in Agam district, West Sumatra province, on April 5, shows plainclothes officers arrested a man with the initials 'RP' (46 years old), in front of a roadside stall.

The arrest of the man with short hair, glasses and wearing a black and white jacket became the spectacle of the crowd.

Officers searched the suspect and found 10 packages of methamphetamine ready to be sold stored in LED lights.

The head of the Payakumbuh National Narcotics Agency, M. Febrian Jufril, said that based on the suspect's confession, his team arrested a man with the initials 'RF' (23 years old).

"Starting from public information, we made covert purchases under surveillance or under cover buys to a man with the initials RP, then developed and arrested RF, a meth dealer," Febrian said.

The two suspects and evidence of 5.84 grams of methamphetamine, 1 million rupiah in cash, phones and digital scales were brought to the BNN office for development.

They are suspected of violating the Drug Abuse Act, which carries the death penalty.
