A little girl has an adorable fairytale-like hobby - riding on a giant turtle's BACK.

The two-year-old toddler Nong Ink two loves to sit on the 30-year-old Sulcata tortoise's shell while it ambles around her neighbour's garden in Bangkok, Thailand.

Her excited parents stay nearby as the creature, named Khun Phu, carries its human friend on his back for awesome rides, like a fairytale cartoon.

Footage shows the girl in pink with pigtails enjoying the unique form of transport on Khun Phu, who arrived in Thailand from Sudan, Africa, in the early 1990s.

Tortoise owner Sippakorn Booncharoensinchai, 27, said: 'Nong Ink loves playing with the tortoise and riding on his back. When she's older she will remember how she did this when she was younger and it'll be a special memory for her whole life.

'I started to raise turtles when I was eight years old. I have always loved taking care of pets but I was allergic to fur.

'I discovered that turtles were just as affectionate as dogs and cats so I asked my parents for one. Now, I have at least 300 turtles and I've made a mini-farm to raise and breed them.'
