A designer from Vietnam has created a 400-kilo unicorn from mechanical parts that can breathe fire and smoke.

Tuan Anh from Ho Chi Minh City created the unusual metallic beast after researching ideas on the internet.

"The main structural components are from motorcycles and cars," he said.

"The centre of gravity of the unicorn is placed in the front, so the tail is a very large iron bar," he added.

Two gas cylinders hidden inside the mythical creature allow it to spew flames and smoke.

Interview - Mr. Tuan Anh: I searched for unicorn design ideas from the internet, then I designed more and edited it to fit the display in the building.
Initially, I created the best shape for the unicorn using a 3D file on the computer, then used a laser machine to cut and create the frame. Next, I used large zinc stubs to bend to create a roundness and shape for the body and convexity for the biceps and legs.The most difficult thing is to find the components and details so that the unicorn is soulful and strong. The main structural components are the components of motorcycles and cars. The center of gravity of the unicorn is placed in the front, so the tail is a very large iron bar, I have to use a lot of zinc to create the tail and cover the load-bearing part, creating an aesthetic for the unicorn.
