Location: Dharmapuri District in Tamilnadu state in South India
A youth formed a group to plant trees and protect the birds in their area. That group of boys planted a 1000 trees in a water body two years ago. Those trees have grown and they attract birds as they started to bear fruits. 
The birds settled in the trees but due to the hot weather the birds are not having the needed food and water. Hence these groups of boys decided to fetch water for the birds and feed them with grains.
Hence they started collecting waste water bottles from the nearby homes and prepared a DIY bird feeder and water cans.  They filled water and feed for the birds and hung on the trees planted by them. 
The efforts of the boys are highly appreciated by the locals.
