A visitor to Iceland caught sight recently of two young Arctic foxes.

Olivier Staiger spotted the adorable pair by the side of a road in the south of the country on March 30.

"It is the first time I ever saw them in the South, out of 14 trips to Iceland since 2015," Staiger said.

"They still had their winter fur but there was no snow, making it easy to see them," he added.

They were spotted right across the road in some high grass field in an undisclosed area in southern Iceland. ( precise location not specified to protect them, as sadly some people might hunt them ). Most arctic foxes are seen in northwestern Iceland and the westfjords. It is the first time I ever saw them in the south, out of 14 trips to Iceland since 2015.
This was late March 2022, they still had their winter furr but there was no snow, making it easy to see them.
