Two kids were rescued by lifeguards and tourists after they were swept into the sea by waves at a beach in Shenzhen, southern China.

In the footage filmed at Dameisha beach park, a 10-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl were playing on the beach when huge waves swept the kids into the sea.

The boy immediately stood up and tried to run away, but the little girl was unable to save herself. Their parents were too far away to notice the danger.

Some tourists and lifeguards on the shore ran into the sea to save the children before the parents arrived at the scene.

The parents were told to keep their children within their sight when playing in the sea.

The video was filmed on April 9 and provided by local media with permission.
