A student caught fire while holding a demonstration in Indonesia
Ali Arsandi, a student in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, caught fire when he was about to burn used tires during a demonstration, Monday (11/4/2022).
This is Ali Arsandi's condition when the fire burned the clothes on his body. Luckily Ali Arsandi was still alive because he was saved by his friends.
The action of burning used tires occurred during a demonstration by students walking towards the office building of the Regional People's Representative Council of Bone Regency.
The masses stopped at the intersection of Jalan MT Haryono, Macanang Village, Tanete Riattang Barat Subdistrict, Bone Regency.
Ali Arsandi then poured fuel oil on the used tires. However, someone pulled the tire to be moved to another place.
Before the used tires caught fire, Ali Arsandi slipped and fell and was hit by the fuel oil that was splashed earlier.
When his friend burned the tire, the fire quickly moved to his wet body. The fire then burned Ali's entire body.
He struggled and took off his white shirt. Another colleague tried to put out the fire with a cloth.
Ali Arsandi was then rushed to the Tenriawaru Bone Regional General Hospital for help.
There were burns on the hands, feet, to the right side of Ali Arsandi's face.
