This cheeky bat managed to snatch and fly off with an apple at a sanctuary in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

The bat at the Israeli Bat Sanctuary is seen landing on a tray of apples before making off with the fruit.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The little bat was rescued by the volunteers and treated for his injuries. After he was well, strong, and healthy once more, he was released back to nature, where he belongs, to reunite with his family.

"But this brave little bat decided to go back and visit his caregivers at the shelter. When he got there, he just couldn't resist those yummy apples, waiting to be devoured."
