STORYLINE:
Brig. Gen. Tamer Shehade, director of the General Department of Traffic and Emergency Police in Gaza, said that the number of car accidents in the coastal enclave is decreasing, noting that the high population density, the large number of cars and narrow streets contribute to traffic accidents.
In 2021, there have been 1,420 traffic accidents, 33 of which resulted in death. The number of accidents is much lower than in 2020, when 2,240 accidents were recorded.
