The moment a concrete slab collapsed beneath five men was captured by a CCTV camera in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Footage from April 7 shows the group of men standing outside a tyre shop while was one crouched down repairing a motorcycle.

A few moments later, the slab they were standing on gave way, sending the group into a hole in the ground. The motorcycle fell on the men.

A passerby saw the incident and immediately ran over to help the men escape the pit.

Sharwan Choudhary, the owner of the shop, said he was repairing a motorcycle when the floor collapsed.

"No one was injured. We escaped unscathed," he said.

This is the chilling moment a concrete slab over a drain caves in with five people on it in northern India's Rajasthan.

The incident took place on April 7 at a tyre shop located in Baba Bawdi area in Jaisalmer city of the eponymous district.

Visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed three men on the slab. While two of them stood there, interacting, another was seen repairing a motorcycle. A minute later, two more people join and the four men start interacting. Suddenly, the floor caves in. The five men along with the vehicle get buried.

A person walking on the road sees them and runs towards the distressed group. Soon, another join. Slowly, the victims start to come out from the drain.

All five men were out within a minute.

Speaking to Newslions, Sharwan Choudhary, the owner of the shop, said he was repairing a motorcycle when the floor collapsed.

He identified three more victims- Narsing Ram, Imran Khan and Babu Khan.

"No one was injured. We escaped unscathed," Sharwan told Newslions.

The slab caved in due to excess weight.
