Drone footage captures beautiful valley of blossoming apricot flower in China
Drone footage captures the beautiful scene of hundreds of blossoming apricot flowers in the Narati region of Xinjiang.
The video shows the great beauty of the white, pink and purple apricot flower covering the mountainsides, valley and slopes near Yili River.
On the hillside, cattle, sheep and horses were scattered around and leisurely enjoying the tender grass in spring.
It is said that the name "Narati" originates from the westward expedition of Genghis Khan. At that time, the Mongolian army marched from the Tianshan Mountains to Yili.
Although it was spring, there were strong winds and snow everywhere. When they reached Narati, the starving soldiers suddenly saw a grassy, flowery prairie before them and kept shouting "Narati, Narati", which means "sun, sun", hence the place is named name Narati.
The video was filmed on April 11 and provided by local media with permission.
