Japan: Typhoon Malakas Approaches Ogasawara Islands
Typhoon Malakas is approaching Japan's Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific with heavy rains and gusty winds on Friday, April 15.
The Japan Meteorological Agency issued warnings of violent winds, high waves, and landslides for the area, and expects it would bring heavy rain to the Izu Islands, south of Tokyo, and coastal parts of the Greater Tokyo area.
