'Scorched desert' claims from Ukrainians as footage shows smoldering ruins in Luhansk

This is the scene that Ukrainians are calling a "scorched earth" campaign as footage from Luhansk, Ukraine emerges on Friday (April 15) showing the area in smoldering ruins in this pool footage obtained by the Ukrainian military.

"Over the past 24 hours, an army of murderers and rapists from mortars, cannon artillery, multiple rocket launchers fired 26 times at the cities of Severodonetsk, Rubizhnoye, Kremennaya, Lysychansk, Popasnaya, Gornoye, Zolote, Orekhovoe, Novotoshkov," said the Ukrainian military officials.

"The Horde continues to turn the Luhansk region into a scorched desert," they added.
