Tourists throng to ‘bendiest street in the world’ 100 years after it was constructed in San Francisco, USA
Footage of Easter tourists visiting Lombard Street, in San Francisco, California, today (Saturday, April 16). The crooked road was built 100 years ago, in 1922, and contains 8 hairpin turns. The steep, squiggly street receives around 2 million visitors per year. During this centennial year, it’s expected to receive up to 17,000 visitors per day on busy weekends.
