There were thrills and spills as hundreds of US adults on children’s tricycles raced downhill on the so-called bendiest street in the world on Easter Sunday (April 17).

The event, Bring Your Own Big Wheel, took place on Vermont Street, in the Potrero Hill area of San Francisco, California. The Easter tradition has been taking place since the year 2000.

This annual event brings hundreds of spectators to watch kids and adults, many wearing costumes, some Easter-themed, ride down the city’s crookedest street on tricycles in a series of heats, with some struggling to make it down in one piece in scenes familiar to a soapbox race.

Racers are not allowed to use trikes with rubber wheels. More information about the race can be found here: https://bringyourownbigwheel.com/
