Christians marked Easter Monday in Jerusalem with the Angel mass, also known as "Little Easter" in a monastery in the village of Al-Qubeiba northwest of Jerusalem.

The footage filmed on April 18 shows a small band with bagpipes outside the church before the service begins. It then shows several scenes from inside the building during the service with Christians from around the world attending but also many local Palestinian Christians.

STORYLINE:

Monday of the Angel is a national holiday in many countries, this day is also known as “Little Easter."

According to the Christian faith, after Easter two disciples of Jesus were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them, but the disciples did not recognize him. He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?". Jesus explained to them what had happened in Jerusalem a few days earlier. As they were close to the village where they were headed, they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.
