A bizarre video has emerged from China of a stray cat with, what appears to be, a pair of wings growing out of its back.

In the footage, filmed outside a shopping centre in Shandong Province on Wednesday, a pair of furry wing-like growths can be seen protruding from the animal’s back.

According to a storeowner at the shopping centre, the cat has been living in the area for ten years and the "wings” only appeared earlier this year after she gave birth.

According to a local vet, there could be many reasons why the growths suddenly appeared but there should be no negative effect on the cat’s health.
