Animal rescuers save stray dog that had bird snare stuck on its mouth for a week
Animal rescuers saved a stray dog that had a wild bird snare stuck on its mouth for a week.
Footage shows the kind men calming down the wary dog found wandering aimlessly at a field in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand on April 5.
The thirty and hungry dog had been trying to remove the rope that shut its mouth when it fed on the bait intended for wild fowl in the area.
It was then discovered by locals several days later when its wounds were already rotting from the tight rope. They called the rescue team for help who arrived to help the dog.
A local who had been trying to help the dog said: ‘The rope around its mouth had been there for a week. It was caught by the snare that some villagers put in the forest to catch birds.
‘I want to thank the rescuers for helping us out. We have been trying to help the dog ourselves but it would run away from us because it was scared.’
The starving dog was given food and water before being taken to the local animal shelter for help.
It was now in stable condition after its wounds were treated.
