A photographer based in Vetroz, Switzerland, managed to capture the "angelic" scene as a SpaceX Starlink satellite train illuminated the sky on April 21.

Footage shows the objects lighting up the surrounding clouds as they made their way into the outer atmosphere.

The filmer told Newsflare: "It was early afternoon in Florida. That meant evening in Europe. Just only one orbit revolution after launch it flew over southern France after dark, and it was still illuminated by the Sun.

"Just as I thought I missed it and was about to return home, I saw a very weird cloud glowing above the mountain and rising exactly where I expected the Starlink train to appear. Wow, what a sight!

"In fact, the short line visible above the cloud is the Starlink train - over 50 satellites still very close together, remember, they have just been released from stage two about an hour earlier."

Starlink G4-14 was just launched from Florida thursday April 21st, 2022 . It was early afternoon in Florida. That meant evening in Europe. Just only one orbit revolution after launch it flew over southern France after dark, and it was still illuminated by the Sun. I watched the southwestern skies from Vétroz near Sion in southwestern Switzerland... I was informed by a Starlink Satellites Observers' group on Facebook that it might be seen from my location around 21:45, give or take a couple of minutes ,. So I went out in my backyard, looked up at the skies. Indeed there were still some clouds hanging around but much of the sky had cleared. I saw quite a lot of stars, despite the few remaining thin layers of high and mid-level clouds. I looked and looked around and did not see any Starlink train. Was I wrong ? Did I look too early or too late ? But just as I thought I missed it and was about to return home, I saw a very weird cloud glowing above the mountain and rising exactly where I expected the Starlink train to appear. Wow , what a sight !!!! In fact, the short line visible above the cloud is the Starlink train - over 50 satellites still very close together, remember, they have just been released from stage two about an hour earlier - , as they were just released from their fairing and will gradually get separated to reach their individual orbits.... and the bright cloud below it ? that is most likely outgassing from the stage two of the Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket... wow, what a rare sighting.
