Self-driving cars powered by solar energy are used by teachers and students Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education. The vehicle is equipped with 10 ambient sensors, automatically stops when encountering an obstacle. The inside of the car is equipped with tables and chairs, lights and air conditioning… as a mobile office.

Self-driving cars reach average speed is 15 km/h and can move faster. The car was completed in 2 months at a cost of about 100 million VND (~ 4,000 USD).

Interview Mr. Doan Tat Linh - Invention Lecturer:
This solar-powered self-driving car idea for a mobile office is equipped with a solar battery of about 600 watts to serve the components in the vehicle. The engine power is only 350 watts, but the car can run at a high speed of 3 kilos of watts. The chassis is made of carbon steel, the bodywork is made of lightweight aluminum and alu plastic. In addition to the ability to self-operate, the car can also be controlled manually, remotely, and automatically. For automatic control, I will place the pins for the car to follow the pins to move or locate the destination for the vehicle by GPS. The most difficult thing is that the steering system connects to the driver so that there is no interruption. In the near future, the car will be upgraded with the best navigation equipment, and a cooling system that saves maximum electricity.
