Firefighters rescued a five metre python from the bathroom of a home in South Jakarta on Saturday 23 April.

They quickly arrived on the scene after receiving a report about the snake from residents at the home in the Jagakarsa area of Indonesia's capital.

The snake coiled in the bathroom is thought to have entered from the drain.

Officers managed to remove the five-metre reptile using a special gripping tool.
