A snorkeller in Florida had this unforgettable encounter recently with a curious manatee.

"I travel to Crystal River, Florida several times each winter to spend time in the water with these gentle giants," said the filmer, Megan Wetzel.

"This experience was particularly enjoyable because I encountered dozens of manatees, each with their own personalities!" she added.

"Some invade your personal bubble and boop your nose or roll over in hopes of some affection. This guy just wanted a closer look at me and I didn’t mind one bit," she concluded.

The footage was filmed on January 8.
