An adorable pet Golden Retriever befriended the postman after regularly collecting his owner’s parcels.

Footage shows the loyal pooch running towards the delivery man and taking packages from him in front of their home in Suphan Buri province, Thailand on April 22.

The four-year-old dog named 'Bum' could sometimes be seen approaching the postman with another pet Shih Tzu who stays behind him as if guarding each other.

Amused postman Ju Apache said: ’Their owners are regular customers and I always drop their parcel. These good boys would then come running towards me to take the delivery.

‘The Golden Retriever was extra diligent as he comes to me every time he hears me beep my motorbike’s horn. He knew then that a parcel arrived for his owner.’

Ju added that the dogs have become friends with him after almost a month of regularly dropping by parcels at the address.

He said: ‘The dogs are now friends with me. They make my job easier because I would not have to pull over and come knocking at the door.’
