Brown sugar and opium worth Rs 20 crore (USD 26,13,584) were seized in eastern India's Assam on April 29.

The incident took place in the Shimultapu village, located in the Kokrajhar district, bordering West Bengal.

Visuals feature the contraband resting in several packets kept on a table. While the officials inspect the seized items, a weighing scale lies on the ground, and some trucks remain parked in the vicinity.

According to reports, the Assam police recovered the drugs from a secret compartment of a truck's oil tank. The cops recovered 3.1 kg (6.8 lbs) of brown sugar and 85 kg (187lbs) of opium worth Rs 20 crore (USD 26,13,584). Moreover, the drugs were being transported from Imphal to Jodhpur.
