A zoo in Surat, Gujarat, took special measures to keep its animals cool as temperatures in the state soared above 40 degrees Celsius.

Zookeepers at Sarthana Nature Park and Zoo were seen hosing down birds and even set up a sprinkler system to keep a tiger cool.

Pools have been set up in various enclosures so the animals can keep themselves at a comfortable temperature.

A Zoo in Surat has made special arrangements to keep animals hydrated. Around 50 different species of birds and animals are facing problems amid scorching summer. The animals are being provided electral powder to keep them hydrated. An artificial pond has been set up for the zoo Animals to beat the scorching heat.
