In a village in Indonesia, to be precise in the village of Sailolof, Sorong, Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua Province. The local population often hunts parrots, especially the Black-headed Parrot or its scientific name Lorius Lory or Black-capped Lory in English, still has a kinship with the Aru Parrot because it is still in the same family, namely the Psittaculidae family, but the two are in different genera. The Black Headed Parrot is in the Lorius genus, while the Aru Parrot is in the Chalcopsitta genus.
Local people usually set snares in the forests adjacent to the village using captured parrots as bait. On our way to Sailolof Village, we found a number of people using outboard motor boats carrying dozens of black-headed Kasturi as bait to trap other Black-headed Kasturi birds. From their confession, the birds are usually collected up to tens to hundreds of tails and then sold to bird lovers (parrots). Usually the residents sell it to crew members or visitors in the area. The price per head is usually traded at a price of Rp. 200,000, - to Rp. 750,000, - depending on the type and size.
According to local residents, the hunting and selling activities of Kasturi or red-headed parrots have re-emerged since the beginning of the COVID-19 2020 pandemic.

The Black-headed Kasturi bird has a body size of about 29 to 33 cm with a body weight of about 163 to 260 g. Kasturi or better known as Nuri has a wide tail shape. The upper chest and head are red. The crown of the head is black.
