Pro-choice abortion demonstrators gathered outside the Embassy of the USA in London on Tuesday evening (May 3) after a leaked document suggested the Supreme Court is set to overturn a landmark decision that legalised abortion across the US.

Protesters held signs outside the embassy, including "abortion is healthcare" and "keep your policies off my body".

An American demonstrator in attendance said she and her friend were there to "show our solidarity with people back home", adding that "America is supposed to be a place of freedom and liberties and this is particularly infringing on those". Her friend - also American - added, "it's 2022, we shouldn't be going back in time."

Another protester said that "all rationality, evidence and science has gone out the window", adding that it's "a new low" which "will have a huge impact around the world."
