A motorcycle rider found a baby python curled up in his helmet after a bike ride in Bangkok, Thailand.

Road user Lin Renjie, 48, left to go to church on his two-wheeler when he noticed his helmet felt strangely tight.

Annoyed, Lin said he tried to push the helmet onto his head harder but it just wouldn't fit. The helmet was too tight, and he couldn't lock the chin strap.

Removing the helmet to adjust the inner cushion, Lin was shocked to find a snake's tail poking out of the headgear on July 18.

A man came and helped him get rid of the reptile after hearing his calls for help. Using a stick, they pushed and prodded the snake, and shook the helmet until the python finally fell out.

Lin said: 'I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was raining the night before and I left the helmet outside so I think the snake must have slithered in at that time.'
