Polling station at St Cuthbert's Centre in London's Kensington has opened doors for local voters on Thursday, 5 May. From 7am till 10pm people across the UK are going to polling stations to vote for every local authority in London, Scotland and Wales. More than 4,350 seats will be contested in England on over 140 councils, with all of Scotland’s 32 councils and all 22 councils in Wales holding elections. In Northern Ireland voters will be choosing 90 members of the Northern Ireland Assembly. The UK citizens are also voting for local mayors in Croydon, Hackney, Lewisham, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Watford.
