Man slips boarding train, gets dragged, saved by cop in western India

A brave cop saved the life of a man who was dragged by the train, after he slipped while trying to board a moving train in western India's Maharashtra.

The incident took place at the Badlapur railway station in the eponymous district on May 1.

Visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed a man dangling- holding onto his dear life- while getting dragged by a moving train. Seeing the distressed passenger, few people and a cop run towards him and pull him away to safety. The public gathered around the man after the incident.

According to reports, the passenger has been identified as Devidas Sardar, 44. He slipped while boarding the CSMT Fast Local train. The incident took place at platform number 3.

The passenger was dragged for a few meters before RFP ASI Narsingh Kanoujiya risked his life to save him.

The man did not suffer any injury.
