Members of Falun Gong marched through central London marking the 30th anniversary of the founding of the movement on Saturday.

The event was held to raise awareness of the persecution that the group faces in China where Falun Gong is banned.

The footage filmed on May 7 shows members drumming and chanting as well as performing a Chinese lion dance.

Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners marched through central London to Downing Street on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the practice and movement, to raise awareness of the persecution faced by the practitioners in China. Falun Gong combines meditation and Qigong exercises with moral philosophy, and is the subject of an ongoing crackdown by the Chinese Communist Party.
