This is the moment a sleuth of black bears begged for food in a temple in northwest China.

Video filmed in the cit of Yushu in Qinghai Province on May 8 shows six black bears waiting outside a temple, one of them even standing up to beg for food after a man, named locally as Mr Huang, opened the window to observe them more closely.

Huang told local media that the black bears come to the temple when they cannot find food. The monks in the temple always gave them food and apparently have a friendly relationship with them.

Asiatic black bears are found in the forests of eastern Asia and are classed as vulnerable to extinction with a decreasing population, according to bearconservation.org.uk/. Their length is around 120cm to 2 metres, with males weighing about 60 to 200kg and females about 40 to 140kg, the website says.
