Elderly man falls while boarding train, saved by alert cop in eastern India
A brave cop was seen saving the life of an elderly man who fell while boarding a train in eastern India's Jharkhand.
The incident took place at the Ranchi Railway Station of the eponymous district on May 9.
Visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed passengers boarding a train at the platform while a man helped others board the train. Suddenly, an elderly man rushed towards the door of the train to board but slipped.
The man who was helping others showed his vigilance and ran toward the old man to pull him away from the train and save his life. Later the train stopped and the elderly man was assisted by a few people towards the door.
The brave cop has been identified as RPF constable Sunil Kumar Yadav, who was patrolling platform number three at the time of the incident.
According to reports, the man was boarding the Ranchi-Sasaram Intercity Express (18635) at the time of the incident.
