Heavy rains have caused severe flooding in parts of northern Vietnam killing one person and injuring dozens more.

Flash flooding has affected thousands of homes in three mountainous northern provinces.

Video captured the moment flash floods swept away many belongings and disrupted traffic in Lang Son, Vietnam.
According to local people, a historic heavy rain occurred in this area, causing floodwater to rush in and create a major flash flood within 20 years in the area.
Flash floods appeared suddenly, making many people unable to respond. According to reports, three northern mountainous provinces have been affected with thousands of houses flooded. Many areas were affected by landslides, disrupting traffic. One person died and dozens were injured.
Flood recovery work is underway.
