Three kittens were rescued after being found trapped inside a car’s engine.

The little felines are believed top have been taken by their mother inside the engine to sleep during the night in Trang province, Thailand.

However, the trio was heard crying inside by a house owner who called the rescuers for help on May 6.

Footage shows a volunteer pulling the cats from under the car. He then handed the moggie to a colleague who placed them inside a box.

Rescuer Chokchai Plaetanareung said: ‘I believe the mother cat must have given birth to the kittens elsewhere but carried them here. Similar incidents happened before, residents should watch out for the animal and contact the rescue team for help.’

Chokchai and his team members lifted the car’s hood and used a flashlight to locate the animal. It wasn’t long before the volunteers found the three kittens trapped behind the car’s left headlight.

Since there was a black plastic sheet obstructing the volunteer’s view from pulling the kitten, they removed the object before carrying the kittens out to safety in 20 minutes.

According to the homeowner, the kittens were only seven days old, two were females , and one was a male. The stray animals have already been put up for adoption.
