Excited locals jumped into a flooded road with baskets and nets to catch fish after heavy rain in China.
Footage shows residents trapping fish in woven baskets and pushing them onto a pavement in Ningyuan county, Hunan province on May 10. Some used nets to easily catch the silverfish swimming across their street.
The fish were reportedly from a river that had overflown into the village after heavy rain battered the region.
The county’s meteorological observatory alerted residents that the storm could cause flooding until the weekend.
