Typhoon Linfa hits south China
A dramatic video has emerged from China of Typhoon Linfa hitting towns on the coast of the South China Sea on Thursday.
The footage, captured in several areas of Lufeng in Guangdong Province, shows people struggling to stand upright in the strong winds, while vehicles, trees and buildings are destroyed.
According to news reports, Typhoon Linfa arrived in Lufeng City on Thursday afternoon and has affected around 710,000 people.
Casualties have not been reported so far.
