Frenzied shoppers rushed to buy second-hand goods at a Japanese surplus store in Thailand.

Footage shows dozens of customers running towards the shelves to have first dibs on the used goods for sale in Bangkok on February 20.

The shop’s owner Ait said: ‘Our products are of quality even if they have already been used. Sometimes, they are even better than brand new ones. This is why shoppers come here.’

Japan exports secondhand goods in at least eight Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. In Malaysia, a secondhand goods shop turned into a superstore by just selling used goods from Japan with more than 832 shops across the country.
