This is the hilarious moment a dove refused to fly when released at a wedding - and dropped straight to the floor.

Amusing footage shows the bride throwing the white bird into the air hoping that it would fly away in a romantic scene following their vows.

But instead, the bird did not move and landed with a thud on the floor in Davao City, the Philippines on May 9.

Bride Kristine Elipe said: 'We asked the staff to look after the birds during the ceremony. It seemed fine while I was holding it.

‘I was shocked when the bird didn’t move and fell straight to the floor but thankfully it was not hurt. It just hit the ground like a burrito and not a bird.'

The bird was later released by the couple for a second time after the wedding fail. That time it did fly away.
