Watch as this real-life ARISTOCAT vibes to jazz music
Alejandro Ruiz, a 40 year old producer, actor, and record label owner from Buenos Aires captured this video of his cat, Pachu, enjoying Miles Ahead, by Miles Davis, on the 7th of May. In the video, the adorable little black cat can be seen bobbing his head to the silky smooth piano tones of Mr. Davis like a true connoisseur. According to Alejandro: “He’s a very nervous and naughty cat, he’s only just turned a year old, and the only time he relaxes is when he’s listening to music, but it only works sometimes.” This jazzy cat has a discerning taste, though, not just any noise is good enough. Alejandro told us that “he likes anything, except the new genres like reggaetón and weird things like that, he likes jazz and opera for sure, but he also likes blues, folk, country, metal and hardcore” He talks about the little cat like his son, he told us that “He’s only just started letting me sleep in peace now that he’s older, but he’s very sweet all the same, he loves snooping around when I cook and listen to records. Alejandro, a staunch vegan, animal rights activist and the founder of a dog rescue centre, Por una Vida Mejor (For a Better Life), was given Pachu by a friend, who had found him on the streets. At the time a kitten, Pachu then lived at Alejandro’s workplace for two months. “Every time I went home I felt terrible knowing he was alone,” Alejandro said. “It happened once or twice that I arrived to find out that he had been locked in a room all weekend, and I got furious with the people I worked with” “Then quarantine arrived in Argentina,” he continued. “So I decided to take him home with me, and here he is, I’m hoping to re-home him soon, alongside another cat I’m looking after at the moment.”
