Fair game? Bizarre moment wild hippo LICKS African buffalo and becomes sexually aroused
This is the bizarre moment a wild hippo at a national park in Kenya was spotted licking an African buffalo and becoming sexually aroused.
The clip, which was captured at Amboseli National Park on May 15, shows the male hippo licking the resting bovine for several seconds.
"He began to lick the back of the buffalo for quite a long time," said the filmer, Nicolas Urlacher.
"The buffalo seemed to appreciate this and looked very relaxed. Then the hippo just put its mouth and head upon the back of the buffalo to rest... and that went he began to get an erection," he added.
"Both are males and it's even more surprising when we know that those two species are the most territorial and aggressive ones in the wild," he concluded.
