People on the banks of the Sapiah River, Kuranji District, Padang City are still afraid of the presence of crocodiles in that location.

The reason is, when they were about to evacuate, the crocodile was released and still remained in that location.

When they were about to evacuate, the crocodile dived into the water and still didn't show up again.

The evacuation process will initially be carried out by local residents using a stun gun. But this was not done.

Because some residents do not agree and are still waiting for the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) of West Sumatra.

At around 12.00 WIB, a person from the Padang reptile community came and was going to evacuate the crocodile which made the residents nervous.

He used a rope and an iron rod to catch the crocodile. The Reptile Community has made a snare to catch the crocodile.

Due to the position of the crocodile's head under the leaves and bamboo trees, he could not get the crocodile's head into the snare that had been made.

When making the location more likely, he shifted and pulled one of the bamboo sticks which surprised the crocodile and finally dived.

The head of the local Neighborhood Association (RT), Darmawan, said that his party was waiting for the BKSDA to carry out the evacuation or dispelling process.

"Currently there is already a member of the BKSDA here to dispel or evacuate," he said.

He hoped that the crocodile would no longer be in the location so that residents would not worry if they would use the river for toilets.
