Man sent flying as speeding car hits two-wheeler in western India
This is the chilling moment a rider was sent flying a few metres after a speeding car hit the former's motorcycle in western India's Gujarat.
The incident took place near Cosmoplex cinema on the Kalawad Road in the Rajkot city of the eponymous district on May 15.
Visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed a speeding car hitting a two-wheeler on the road with such intensity that the biker was sent flying while the bike skidded a few meters.
The bike rider was rushed to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Speaking to Newslions, Sub-Inspector VN Morvadiya of the Rajkot Taluka Police Station, said that an FIR has been registered against the car.
"An FIR under IPC sections 279, 304A and Motor Vehicle Act 184, 134, 177 has been registered," the cop said.
The victim has been identified as Manish Bhupta.
