Lift drops down seven floors with family still inside
This is the terrifying moment a lift dropped down seven floors with a family still inside it.
CCTV footage captured in Maoming City in Guangdong, China on May 11 shows four people, including a small child, riding the lift from the 17th floor of a building.
They crouched to the ground when the cabin suddenly plummeted down to the 10th floor. Luckily, the lift came to a stop and the control panel was still functional, allowing them to exit right away.
One of the condominium staff told local media: 'It is unusual for the elevator to suddenly drop like this one did. It has been closed while authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.'
