The volcano Mount Etna is continuing to emit rivers of lava following five days of continuous eruption.

Footage filmed on May 17th, five days after the most recent eruption on May 12th, shows lava flowing from the new eruptive fissure on the northern flank of the southeast crater.

Strombolian explosions blast repeatedly and columns of ash and steam are seen emerging from the new vent.
