This tiny bat pup yawned before falling asleep on a volunteer's lap at the Israeli Bat Sanctuary.

The sweet moment was captured on May 17 as the pup clung to a member of staff's leg before falling asleep.

The filmer said: "This orphaned baby will be hand-raised by his human foster mother for three months until he's all grown up and strong enough to go back to nature and start his own family.

"For now, he is nursed with a special formula every two hours. Naturally, eating takes a lot out of a small baby, so after a good afternoon meal, he is slowly rocking himself to sleep."

This sweet moment was captured by a volunteer at The Israeli Bat Sanctuary, a foster mom to this tiny baby. He was found on the fround, hungry and all alone, and was taken to foster and medical care.

This orphaned baby will be hand raised by his human foster mother for three months until he's all grown up and strong enough to go back to nature and start his own family.

For now, he is nursed with a special formula every 2 hours. Naturally, eating takes a lot out of a small baby, so after a good afternoon meal, he is slowly rocking himself to sleep.
