A keeper at a zoo in Odisha, eastern India, became the foster mother for a lion and tiger cub.

After the cubs' mothers were struggling to produce milk, the pair were taken into care by Prasanta Gouda at Nandankanan Zoological Park.

Gouda is seen feeding the two cubs simultaneously with two bottles of milk in footage captured on May 17.

Struggling to drink milk, a lion and tiger cub were taken into foster care by a zookeeper in eastern India's Odisha.

The incident took place at the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar city of the Khordha district.

Visuals shot on May 17 showed the two cubs playing with each other. The tiger cub was seen pulling the lion cub's paw with his mouth. They were jumping onto each other and running around in the garden.

The tiger and the lion cub were separated from their mothers right after birth as they were getting weak because their mothers were unable to produce milk.

A caretaker named Prasanta Gouda, animal-keeper at the zoo, was seen feeding milk to the two cubs with a plastic bottle.
