A couple in Joplin, Missouri, spent Easter Sunday in 2022 rescuing an injured owl that had collided with their car.

This video shows Deborah tending to an injured owl that become stuck in their car.

"My husband and I were driving home when an owl flew across the road and hit the front of our car," Deborah revealed.

"After pulling over, we discovered the owl was stuck to our front bumper. As my husband recorded, I carefully removed the owl."

Upon noticing that the bird wasn't flying even after being left on its own, the couple assumed that it got seriously hurt and started contemplating reaching out to an emergency service.

"With no nearby vets open and available, my husband called 911," Deborah added. "While he was on the phone, the owl flew across the parking lot and eventually flew away."

'April 17, 2022 (Easter Sunday) ended up being quite a memorable day for Deborah Hammonds and her husband, Dustin.
